This tree has a nicely shaped dense crown and a short and strong trunk. The leaves are dark green and in autumn turn yellow brown. The flower is double, white and with a tinge of red and blossoms between May and June. The tree is very suitable for streets and avenues, but requires pruning due to its horizontal branching. Has deep rooting and is susceptible to deicing-salt. Has a moderate wind tolerance.
