A medium-sized tree reaching 15m. The crown in wide conical to oval. 'Crimson King' grows very vigorously. The leaf is shiney and dark red. Flowers and fruits are of the species. It can be used in parks and also as a solitary in gardens. It grows in any soil but does not tolerate stagnating groundwater or peaty soils. Strong wind resistance.
