This tree has a dense, closed crown. In the first years the crown is round-headed, when maturing it spreads out. The crown grows to around 6m across. When unfolding the leaf has a brown-red colour to it, later it turns dark green. Its autumnal colour is an intense yellow. The tree is less suited to narrow avenues and streets due to its wide crown. It suits squares and shopping areas splendidly.
