This is a large tree with a wide conical crown, and grows vigorously. It can reach up to heights of 20 to 25m. The leaf is 5-lobed and dark green on the surface with a red-purple underside. Due to its dark colour it is preferably applied on a light site. Flowers are of the species. The wings of the winged nutlets have a light pink hue. Suited to parks, avenues or solitary in city and on industrial estates. Suitable on the coast. Small
