Acer Carnea 'Plantierensis' (Select Pink Chestnut)


This tree grows quite large, with a heavy crown. The leaf is dark green on top and lighter underneath. It has light hair growth along the veins and the underside of the leaf. The flower is large and is at first a pale yellow in colour, turning later to a flesh coloured pink. It does not have fruit, making it more suitable to streets and square areas. Root system is deep. Preferes the soil to be not too dry and is intolerant to asphalt, unless the base area is large enough.
